Thanks everyone!

Our fundraiser last week was an awesome time!

 

Great food, great company and great fun!

Thanks to our generous silent auction contributors and all the lovely people who gave donations and attended the event we raised close to $3,500!!

An an extra special thanks to the live performers - Brett Mac Lean and Cara Q who were both amazing, energetic musical acts. 

And last but not least, thanks to all of the volunteers at the event. We are SO lucky to have such supportive friends and family. We love you!

Fundraiser Food!

We've gotten some questions about what food you'll be getting at the fundraiser, and we're pleased to announce that Ceylonta Restaurant will be providing the food for our event!


Ceylonta serves Sri Lankan and South Indian food, and is one of my favourite restaurants in Ottawa. My family is South Indian, and when I moved to Ottawa, I was so happy to find a place in town that could make me delicious food that I can usually only get when my mom is around!


I'm sure that everyone will be happy with the food and I encourage you to check out Ceylonta at one of their two locations - at 403 Somerset Street or 2920 Carling Ave.


We will also have the desserts donated by the Loblaw's on Isabella Street and are very thankful for the great support from the community. I'm sure all the guests at the fundraiser will be happy and full on Thursday!

We're sooo famous!

Well, maybe not that famous, but the Glebe Report did include a little article about our fundraiser next week!

I didn't realize that the article would be credited to me, so I will agree with you that it is a little strange that it is written in the third person. Despite that, I hope it gets a few more people out to our event on Thursday, March 22!

And then there were two....

Sadly, Will and Renee can no longer come on the Rally with us. :(

Sebastien and I will just have to entertain ourselves with audiobooks since we won't have them squished into our little car to engage us in awesome road trip conversations.
